Developed at the start of the 20th century, the trench coat has become a must-have fixture in any wardrobe. Artistic Director, Olivier Rousteing, is revisiting this traditional model, offering designer pieces produced with expertise, and interspersed with iconic design features.
Designer trench coats from Balmain feature the traditional sandy colour, or draw on the iconic “monogram” prints for graphic allure. The classic, double-breasted design is enhanced by the Parisian fashion house’s famous golden buttons. The familiar style codes of the trench coat, such as the belt at the waist, the adjustment tabs and storm flaps, are reproduced with aplomb by the Balmain ateliers.
An ideal mid-season piece, Balmain trench coats evoke the revisited military style for which the Parisian fashion house is so renowned. It can be worn open or tied closed with a belt, or alternatively over a dress or suit, to lend a unique charm to your outfits.
